Beauty & Lifestyle: 3 tips for a manageable beauty routine and a Vitamin C serum

Does your skin feel dry and dull? Well then, I have the perfect product for you to try, Mila Simone Azzura Essence. It's antioxidant formula is here to give you a peachy glow. I also share my top 3 tips for creating a manageable beauty routine, for anyone like me that seems to - shhh! - neglect their skin care, words and photos by Rosa Fairfield.

About Mila Simone Azzura Essence

The formula of this serum is a mixture of different antioxidants. It contains Vitamin C, which helps with collagen production. Collagen is important for healthy skin as it helps keep elasticity and prevent fine lines. Hyaluronic Acid, also contained in the serum, helps skin stay hydrated.

It's vegan, cruelty free, fragrance free and made in the UK.

The application

- It's recommended you use the product of a morning and evening as part of your skin care routine.

- The serum is easy to apply, simply squirt 2-4 drops onto your face and neck after cleansing.

The results

I've just been using the serum of an evening, they don't call me Rebellious Rosa for nothing (okay, so I made that up, no one calls me that).

I have noticed an improvement with my skin, sometimes it can tend to get a little dull (especially as I have a tendency to lock myself in dark rooms for days on end). Lately though, it does seem to have developed a slight glow and has a noticeable radiance.

I particularly liked it because it's a no nonsense treatment. You don't have to leave it on a set amount of time or wash it off. You can just apply and go, which is great for a busy lifestyle.

There isn't a before and after photograph because my skin started to look pretty bad before I started to put an added effort into my beauty routine. I didn't want a lasting reminder of that one for the whole world to see.

I've been combining the serum with taking Super Collagen + Vitamin C food supplements and a general vitamin (hopefully I'm not overdosing on vitamins). My regular beauty routine also contains a facial foam wash and any moisturiser I currently have lying around.

How to get into a manageable beauty routine

To be blunt, I suck at beauty routines. I'm awful. Sometimes I'll go for days and just forget to wash my face. Here are some tips to help get into a positive beauty routine:

Start off with the basics
Start with small steps and do the absolute minimum. It can be overwhelming at first having so many different possible products to use that do all these different things. You can build-up to that. At first just use 1 or 2 generalised products.

Set aside the time
Wake up that 10-20 minutes earlier so you have time to properly prep yourself for the day. The same goes for the evening. Have a 30 minute wind down time that you can do your beauty routine in. Having some sort of structure helps.

Do your research
A bit of general research couldn't go a miss. Work out what skin problems you encounter so you can get one or two products that target them in particular.
